After the lecture phase and before the students left for service overseas, I went to Honolulu to teach for a week in a training program offered by Surfing the Nations. One of the outreach programs they have is a cafe. They also do several feeding programs in poorer areas of the island.

The same day I flew back to Kona, the two DTS outreach teams departed for their two-month overseas service.
